The Lutheran West Minihorn Youth Wrestling Club is looking for kindergartners through sixth-graders. Practices are held at LWHS in the wrestling room starting Monday. Registration is open today from 6-8 p.m. The cost is $80.

Also, the Lutheran West Shorthorn Junior High?Wrestling Club is looking for seventh- and eighth-graders. Practices are held at the LWHS wrestling room from 5:30-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, starting Nov. 9. The cost is $150. All costs cover uniforms, transportation and tournament fees. Wrestling singlets are provided. Participants must provide headgear and wrestling shoes. Junior high wrestlers must have a completed OHSAA physical form, which can be picked up at registration. Westlake High School will be holding its sixth annual Mattress Fundraiser benefiting Westlake High School wrestling on Nov. 3, from 10 a.m.?to 5 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Watch for kids holding signs on the street corner, and a few lucky kids who get to wear the ?mattress suit? while promoting the sale to passersby. The cafeteria will transform into a mobile showroom so curious shoppers can test-drive any of the Consumer Best Buy award-winning beds on display. Westlake Recreation is currently registering boys and girls in grades 1-6 for the?Youth Basketball League. This program is open to any child who lives in Westlake, goes to school in the city or is a current member of the Westlake Recreation Center. The programs are designed to instruct youngsters in the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Volunteer coaches are needed for all divisions. The registration deadline is Nov. 2.
