At least Mark Grace has good taste in scotch.
The former Chicago Cubs star was arrested for DUI in Scottsdale, Ariz., the weekend before last, after an officer observed his 2009 Jaguar weaving in and out of his lane around 1 a.m. He admitted to "having a few drinks."
Quite recently, too. Grace said he consumed two glasses of Macallan scotch earlier that evening, one about "five minutes before the stop."
Grace, 46, is now an announcer for the Arizona Diamondbacks, with whom he won a World Series in 2001 after spending most of his career with the Cubs.
He shed tears of joy then, but on this night, his "bloodshot and watery eyes" and lack of drivers license on his person earned him a ticket to the slammer.
When the officer asked, "How do you think you did on the field tests" ... Grace replied, "Not well enough." He was handcuffed and taken into custody.
He was booked on DUI with a BAC of .08 or more, DUI impaired to the slightest degree, improper right turn, and not carrying his license or registration.
