Jackie Chan Says He's Up for Expendables 3

You're not a has-been until Sylvester Stallone invites you for one of his Expendables movies, and for Jackie Chan, he's going to cross that line.

At a press conference for Chinese Zodiac, Chan has confirmed that he'll appear in The Expendables 3 provided it's not a cameo.

"Sly had invited me to be in Expendables 2 but I was too busy filming CZ12 and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes," Chan told reporters.

That earlier bit about The Expendables being a refuge for washed-up action stars? It was true when the first movie was conceived, but with both Expendables and Expendables 2 being well-received by moviegoers worldwide, that's no longer the case. The franchise has become a premier vehicle for past action stars (ie Jean-Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger) to make a comeback.

Chan also said something about Rush Hour 4 at the press conference as well, mainly he felt that three movies is enough. Of course, if Warner Bros was to give him a check with lots of zeros on it, I'd bet he wouldn't mind a fourth Rush Hour one bit.

Chan's Chinese Zodiac currently does not have a US distributor.
